Imagine the experience of children who are removed from their parents because the people who should have taken care of them
couldn't or wouldn't do so. These children find themselves in a world filled with social workers, lawyers, judges, and courtrooms
where life-altering decisions are made on their behalf. Having a CASA volunteer by their side means having a trained and committed
adult who has been appointed by a judge to watch over their case and advocate for their best interests.
Every CASA volunteer is paired with a CASA staff person who guides and supports the volunteer through every step of the case.
CASA volunteers ensure children don't get lost in an overburdened legal and social service system. They may be the only guiding
presence involved from the beginning to the end of that child's case. For these children it can mean the difference between instability
and permanence, insecurity and learning to trust, invisibility and being made a priority.
We hope you decide to join our family of volunteers, everyday people, who are committed to improving abused children’s lives.
It is easier than you think.
